New Music: Band of Horses

I picked up Band of Horses' album Everything All The Time this past weekend. It's very nice indie pop-rock. Nothing revolutionary, but some very good songs. (I listened to it twice through on my Monday morning Brooklyn-Philly drive. Nothing struck me powerfully, but I was singing along on the second pass, then I couldn't get 'The Funeral' out of my head all that day.) For anyone I sometimes share music with, I currently have this album available, and you know where to find it. Check it out. If you want to preview just a couple of songs, go for 'The Funeral' and 'St. Augustine.' Update: After a second day in a row with 'The Funeral' and a couple of other songs running through my head, I like this album even more. Update2: I missed these guys last Friday at the Canal Room because a more social plan came along. This weekend, I just discovered, they're playing all three nights, and apparently all three are sold out. Bugger. tagged music
