College prog rock from Detroit. Like a jam band, but tightly rehearsed. Cheesy without tongue in cheek, complete with sequenced electronic backing for masturbatory instrumental sections. Sort of a Coke commercial feel. Shades of Phish, 311, Dream Theater, Journey. Plus the most self-absorbed audience I've ever seen! Plus a cover of Baba O'Reilly (Teenage Wasteland)!

According to Talia Template

Last weekend I sat down with my friend Talia to redesign the template for her blog. (Credit for the hoagie header goes to her.) After not having attempted a CSS column layout from scratch in a while, I was happy to find it was pretty painless.

New blog for nerd stuff

I resolved this weekend to do more writing on technical stuff. To help motivate me, I've started a new blog for it: enter El Humidor. My first real post fumbles through TDDing an enum for Ruby. It's not ground-breaking, but it could help some lost soul out there, and it's my blog anyway, so I can make it as boring and pointless as I like. :P

Having one blog for personal BS and technical stuff meant it was unfocused (sorta like me), so hopefully this will help me satisfy my audiences separately: El Humidor for the geeky types out there and this blog for ... umm ... well maybe for people who knew me in high school and can't remember what I looked like ... or perhaps for people who are looking for information on Nobel Peace Prize winner John Hume but aren't very good at Google ... or ... ok, it's pretty much just for me.
