Viajo a Mexico
If all goes according to plan, I'll spend about the next twelve hours getting to Torreón, México. It's a big family gathering thing &emdash; I'd guess about seventy people &emdash; that sort of started last night and will run the weekend. Then on Monday I'll fly with my folks to south Texas to spend the rest of next week and the weekend following in and around Alice, Texas with a smaller set of family &emdash; probably fifteen-to-twenty people. I think we're staying at a lake house a little out of town, which should be great.
If you have suggestions for how to spend a four-and-a-half-hour layover at DFW this afternoon, shout 'em out.

My iPhone Feature Request List
- Let Mail turn sideways
- Queue SMS messages when there's no signal available
- Allow multiple recipients in SMS messages
- Let me rank wi-fi SSIDs in order of preference

Update 7/20: Here are some of them:
- Do a convenient 'Send contact info' from a contact page, the SMS compose screen, and the mail compose screen.
- For tracks without album art, let the info on what's playing take up some of the space that you're currently filling with a big gray musical note. (This is most noticeable and annoying when the phone's docked on iPod speakers and I'm not close to it.)
- Obviously allow any song to be used as a ringtone. (Duh!)

My One Good Photo
My photo of National Guard troops lounging in the North End has once again been included in Schmap's Boston travel guide. Check it. Originally Schmap was just a Windows app you could download, but now it's apparently all browsable and stuff.
I still like this shot better.
